How to remove stains from a car seat

As with most types of stain, it’s best to take immediate action as soon as you know about the stain, but what you do first will depend on the type of stain you’re dealing with.
For liquid stains such as coffee and fizzy drinks, you’ll need to blot the area with a damp cloth.
For ‘dry’ stains like mud and chocolate stains, you’ll need to start by scraping off any excess substance with something hard like a spoon or piece of card, as blotting them may just work the stain more into the fabric.
Once you’ve either brushed away the excess dry substance or pre-blotted the spill, it’s time to use Vanish Oxi Action Carpet & Upholstery Spot Treatment Spray to treat the stain, following these simple steps:

Instructions

  1. Remove excess dirt and open nozzle.
  2. Spray the product onto the stained area and leave for a maximum of 5 minutes and blot the stain with a clean cloth.
  3. If the stain is particularly tough or dried in, repeat steps 1 and 2.
  4. Our top tip for removing stains from car seats is to blot, not rub! When you rub at a stain you can often fray the fibres of the fabric, working the stain in deeper, and potentially damaging your item.
