How to Whiten Sheets and Bedding

Over time, it can be hard to keep your favourite crisp, white bedding in pristine condition. During the night, your sheets are subjected to body oils, sweat or makeup residue which can cause your sheets to discolour. But, keeping your bedding white doesn’t have to be a mammoth task with Vanish. The formula is designed to keep your white bedding bright and make your bed even more inviting.

To get white sheets whiter simply pre-treat, soak, or use in-wash with Vanish Gold Oxi Action Crystal White Powder. Your sheets will be gleaming in no time.

Read on to learn more information on how to whiten white sheets.

How to whiten cotton sheets

Regular washing of your sheets means they’re clean, comfy, and fresh – but it can also mean your bright whites can fade to grey. It’s nothing that Vanish Gold Oxi Action Crystal White Powder can’t fix – in just one wash you can whiten your sheets without bleach easily.

  1. Add 1 x scoop of Vanish Powder into 4L of warm or cold water (40 max°)
  2. Leave the sheets to soak for up to 6 hours (max)
  3. Wash as normal with your usual detergent and add an additional scoop of Vanish Powder into the washing machine

If you have a discoloured patch or stain on your sheet that you want to get rid of, pre-treat it with Vanish. Simply form a paste by adding ¼ scoop of Vanish with ¾ scoop of water and gently rub it onto the area. Leave for a maximum of 10 minutes and wash as usual with an additional scoop of Vanish into the washing machine.

Important: Always read the label on the packaging before usage.

Linen sheets not only look good, but they also feel great, making it even harder to get out of bed in the morning. 1. Add a 60ml dose of Vanish Gel into 4L of warm or cold water (40 max°)
  2. Leave the sheets to soak for up to 6 hours (max)
  3. Wash as normal with your usual detergent and add an additional dose of Vanish Gel into the washing machine

Bleach is a no-no: You’ll be forgiven for thinking that bleach is the best way to get whites white. In fact, it stains and discolours them even more, making them yellow and brittle. Vanish contains no bleach, which is why it leaves your whites brighter than ever.

Weekly washes: As mentioned above, your bedding gets its fair share of use during the night. Wash your bedding weekly to maintain good hygiene and remove any dust and dirt – always adding a scoop of Vanish to your washing machine to help restore whiteness.
