IN PARTNERSHIP WITH AMBITIOUS ABOUT AUTISM
We’re in our third year of helping broaden public understanding of autism. For many autistic people, clothes can help with sensory regulation and be a source of comfort that helps their daily routines. However, when wearing garments that are not designed for their particular sensorial needs – like the school uniform – it makes getting through school, a daily struggle.

For 96% of autistic pupils, their school experience is impacted by their uniform. The sensory challenges they face negatively impacts their focus, participation and enjoyment at school.
We created the Unbearable Blazer to raise awareness of how school uniform can feel to pupils with clothing sensitivities and bring to life the discomfort of autistic pupils. Learn how you can help support autistic pupils in schools by taking the #MoreThanJustClothes pledge.
